One for the Matinee Please

I've really enjoyed reading fellow bloggers New Years resolutions this week.  I didn't post any because I've found that generally when I make them, they are broken within a few days, I'm a rule-breaker, what can I say? :)

Anyway, even though I have trouble sticking to set resolutions, I do believe it's good practice to re-focus at the beginning of the year, or really whenever you think to do so, and consider the things that you could do to make your life better, easier, more fullfilling, etc., as well as what you can do for others and the Earth we live on.

One of the things I intend to focus on a little more is doing things for myself.  This blog was a start.  At 26, I know there are still many years of figuring out exactly who I am, what's important to me, and how to push through limitations I've set for myself.  Going to movies alone has always really freaked me out.  This weekend, I plan to get over this and go see The Fighter by myself.  Christian Bale and Marky Mark will be my date :)

Going to the movies by yourself is awesome! I love doing it - it's dark; no one will be able to see you and judge you (not that they'd have any reason to!). What I have a hard time with is eating at a restaurant by myself. I used to do it all the time, but now i find it intimidating.

On another note, we DO need to meet up!

I'm like you...I get a little nervous about the idea of going to the movies myself. Silly, right?! Have fun!!
