Thiebaud

While perusing through my blog list this morning, Jordan Ferney of Oh Happy Day reminded me how much I love the work of Wayne Thiebaud.  How fantastically charming are these?  And doesn't he look like he could tell us all a thing or two? 

From Wikipedia:
Thiebaud spoke at Harvard University School of Design in 1990 where he responded to one of the student's questions, "What do you think defines an artist?" and Mr. Thiebaud responded "An artist creates his own world."

I think his world is one that looks very sweet.
